Dangers of Evolution

                       By Phillip O’Donnell

Belief in the theory of evolution has some very dangerous results. For example, dictators in communist countries believed in evolution to justify their atrocious deeds. The Father of Communism, Karl Marx wrote a book called Das Kapital which arose from evolutionary thinking. On December 19, 1860 Karl Marx wrote to his friend, Friedrich Engels:

“Although it is developed in the crude English style (The Origin of Species), this book which contains the basis in natural history for our views (communism).

(C. Cirkle, Evolution, Marxian Biology, and the Social Scene, page 88)

“Just as Darwin discovered the law of evolution in organic nature, so Marx discovered the law of evolution in human history.”

(Otto Ruhle, Karl Marx, page 366)

The idea that evolution is a history of competive strife fits well with his [Marx’s] ideology…”

(R. Milner, Encyclopedia of Evolution, page 412)

Communism is a product of the philosophy that there is no God, but rather the “fittest” will rule (evolution).

“Defending Darwinism is nothing new for socialists. The socialist movement recognized Darwinism as an important element in its general world outlook right from the start…”

(Cliff Connor, International Socialist Review, Nov. 1980)

If we are products of an unplanned system that is not controlled by a righteous God, then who decides what is right or wrong (Hitler? Stalin? Mao Tse-tung? You?). When asked this a ardent evolutionist once said to me, “You chose your own purpose.” However, that just my point. What is wrong with killing other animals if you are just another animal (animals do that)? This is the survival of the fittest! Russian communist dictator, Joseph Stalin tortured and brutally killed an estimated 60 million people because of his godless philosophy. Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who spent over 14 years in communist prisons said:

The cruelty of atheism is hard to believe. When a man has no faith in the reward of good or the punishment of evil, there is no reason to be human. There is no restraint from the depths of evil that is in man. The communist tortures often said, “There is no God, no hereafter, no punishment of evil.”

(Tortured For Christ, page 36)

       J. P. Darlington wrote this in his book about evolution:

The first point is that selfishness and violence are inherent in us, inherited from the remotest animal ancestors…Violence is, then natural to man, a product of evolution.”

(Evolution For Naturalists, pages 243-244)

Darwin helped to further brutalize mankind through providing scientific sanction for bloodthirsty and selfish desires.”

(Robert T. Clark and James D. Bales, Why Scientists Accept Evolution, page 64)

“At a very early age, while still a pupil in the ecclesiastical school, Comrade Stalin developed a critical mind and revolutionary sentiments. He began to read Darwin and became an atheist.”

(E. Varoslavsky, Landmarks in the Life of Stalin, pages 8-9). Written by a close associate of Stalin.

Adolph Hitler, (an evolutionist) murdered an estimated 12-14 million people because be wanted to create a supreme race by exterminating all those  he decided were subhuman and didn’t fit into his plan.

He [Haeckal] convinced mass of his countrymen they must accept their evolutionary destiny as a ‘master race’ and ‘outcompete’ inferior peoples, since it was right and natural for the ‘fittest’ to survive. His version of Darwinism was incorporated in Adolph Hitler’s “Main Kanmf” (1925) which means “My Struggle,” taken from Haeckal’s German translation of Darwin’s phrase, ‘the struggle of existence.’ [The position in Germany was that] Man must ‘conform’ to nature’s processes, no matter how ruthless. The ‘fittest’ must never stand in the way of the law of evolutionary progress. During the 1930’s, Adolph Hitler believed he was carrying Darwinism forward with his doctrine that undesirable (and inferior races) must be eliminated.”

(R. Milner, Encyclopedia of Evolution, pages 207, 412, 119)

“Adolph Hitler reiterated the same philosophy of life derived from the theory of evolution.”

(H. Enoch, Evolution or Creation, pages 147-148)

“One need not read far in Hitler’s Mein Kampf to find that evolution likewise influenced him and his views.”

(Robert Clark, Darwin: Before and After, page 115)

Some people have been claiming that Hitler was a Christian. This is not true, as is clearly shown in the next statement. However, he did somewhat have ties to the Vatican (the Roman Catholic faith). Hitler once said, “I regard Christianity as the most fatal, seductive lie that has ever existed.”

The Bible says that we are all made in God’s image (not an animal’s image) and that all nations are of one blood. Acts 17:26.
